Volunteering

To volunteer in our Eco Shop or to help us with fundraising, please fill in the form below. 
In return, you will:

  • Get to meet and work with other people who want to provide affordable homes in our community

  • Share in the ownership and management of our Eco-shop and allotment projects

  • Be part of making improvements in South Bank that benefit everyone.

  • Help develop new ideas for South Bank and make them happen

  • Receive regular Facebook updates and newsletters telling you what is going on

  • All volunteers will get training and support as needed for the jobs set out below. 

No experience is necessary. Any individual over 16 who lives or works within the South Bank Ward boundary can join.

We have opportunities for a variety of roles:

ECOSHOP VOLUNTEER

Help run the Ecoshop including:

  • Organise deliveries from Fareshare and other food providers to ensure our Ecoshop is well stocked

  • Organise stock in the shop and manage stock rotation

  • Take donations from customers, record income and spend, bank cash

  • Take bookings from customers

  • Be there when the Ecoshop is open, helping to open and close the shop and providing advice to customers.

  • Helping to organise special events activities eg for Xmas or in the School Holidays.

ALLOTMENT VOLUNTEER

  • All/any jobs that will help us to grow fruit and veg to distribute through the Ecoshop.

  • Organise allotment open days and other special events

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER

  • Bring new ideas to the CLT, thinking up fundraising initiatives, projects and events that would benefit everyone in South Bank

  • With the support of the Board, develop and deliver new projects and run one-off events and activities.
