About Us

Neil Cawson (Chair), 9 years as Senior Specialist with HCA (now Homes England) managing large RP contracts, leading on assessment of funding bids for the NEYTH operating area.  Operating Area lead on empty homes grant funding programme. Previously worked for 19 years in South Bank and neighbouring town of Grangetown as Renewal Team Manager for former Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder areas.

Ian Jeffrey, 30 years’ experience as a local councillor and resident for 40 years.  Has been Cabinet lead for Redcar and Cleveland council for various portfolios, former Chair of the Police Authority and Local Probation Board.  Employed for thirty years as a production supervisor at ICI before taking early retirement.

Nik Milne, Senior Officer with Community Campus 87 and Community Homes Tees Valley.   Leads on community development and embedding local training programmes to support the needs of residents. Experienced in empty homes conversions/improvements (including technical surveys and costings) as this work has been a key strand of CC87’s business activity for a number of years.

We also have a CLT Steering Group made up of residents, members of South Bank Community and Faith Groups, Ward Councillors and representatives from Thirteen Housing Group and Redcar and Cleveland Council..

Following our meeting on 10 March 2020 we agreed to revise our governance arrangements to have a Board of twelve Directors.
