South Bank Eco-Shop

Over Three Years Serving South Bank - Open to All

What is an Eco-Shop?

They are shops based in community venues which are provided with high-quality supermarket food, that is then sold on to the wider community for a small donation – in this case, it will be a £3 donation for 10 items.

The shop is run by a dedicated team of volunteers – Christine, Ros, Sue, Kyle, and Jan and provides affordable groceries, to help you and your family at a time when many of us are finding it hard to manage.

Anyone can come along you don’t need any sort of official invite or referral.

Opening hours are Tuesday 9 – 10.15 am and Thursday 11.30 – 1.00 pm, at St John’s Church Hall on Normanby Road.

This year we are proud to be supported by Thirteen, Karbon, Redar and Cleveland Council and Tees Valley Community Foundation.

Because of over ordering or misprinting on the packaging, the food would otherwise be thrown away.

Fareshare NE and others want to put a stop to this perfectly good food going to waste, so volunteers collect and distribute it to places like ourselves.

You don’t need a referral, all we ask to help keep everyone safe and maintain social distancing is that you book an appointment slot by telephoning  07939 427136. The phone line is open for reservations 10am - 4 pm every Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Sorry but you are not able to leave a text or voice message or make a booking through Facebook.

The South Bank CLT Eco-shop is open every Tuesday 9-10.15am and Thursday 11.30-1 pm in St John’s Church Hall, Normanby Road, South Bank.
